Anti-Submarine Warfare

Distributed autonomous sensing that extends ASW reach and persistence, helping naval forces detect, localise and maintain awareness of submerged threats.

Extend the platform search

Finding and maintaining awareness of submarines and XLAUVs demands coverage, persistence and the ability to place sensors where they deliver greatest tactical value. Sentiq integrates autonomous surface and subsurface platforms with mission-specific sensing to extend surveillance beyond crewed assets alone, supporting wider-area search, barrier operations and persistent monitoring of strategically important approaches and choke points.

Build a distributed picture

ASW depends on turning detections into a coherent and continuously developing understanding of the underwater battlespace. Sentiq connects autonomous platforms, sensors, communications and command systems so distributed observations can contribute to the recognised underwater picture. Assets can be repositioned or re-tasked as the tactical situation develops, helping maintain surveillance, investigate contacts and cue specialist ASW forces.

Multi-static operations

Detecting a quiet submarine is not a matter of one sensor listening harder. Sentiq combines a fixed low-frequency source with distributed mobile receivers: SeaShield provides the active and passive backbone, while SQ USVs towing passive arrays operate as mobile receivers at distance from the source. Operating multi-statically extends coverage well beyond the range of any single installation and complicates the acoustic problem for the target, without committing a manned platform to the search.
The Mission Chain

Sense✕Decide✕Act

Every maritime mission depends on the ability to sense the threat, decide with confidence and act at the right moment. Sentiq brings together sensors, platforms, communications, autonomy and command-and-control to create integrated capabilities across the complete mission loop.

Mission Outcomes

Persistent submarine search

Extend surveillance across priority areas and approaches using autonomous sensing, increasing persistence while reducing demand on high-value crewed ASW platforms.

Distributed underwater sensing

Position and re-task seafloor surveillance nodes across the battlespace to expand search coverage, monitor choke points and respond as submarine activity or search priorities change.

Mobilise the ASW force

Turn distributed detections into actionable information that can support classification, localisation and the cueing of specialist ships, aircraft and other ASW assets.

WHERE WE WORK

Mission Sets

Hydrography & Marine Survey

Chart the seabed and profile the water column without a crewed vessel. Sentiq configures survey-grade autonomous platforms for hydrographic charting, port bathymetry, offshore energy survey and marine scientific research.

Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance

Sense, and make sense of the maritime landscape. Sentiq combines autonomous surface, subsurface and airborne capability to extend surveillance, reduce exposure and accelerate decision-making.

Mine Countermeasures

Platforms not people in harm’s way. Sentiq configures autonomous and remotely operated systems to extend search, investigation and threat neutralisation from shore or host platform.
