Get ahead of the threat
Sentiq’s Underwater Detection Sonar (SQ UDS) is a fixed sonar system that holds a very-long-range (LR) picture of the approaches without a ship or an aircraft on station. Persistent coverage reduces the ASW tasking placed on the fleet, supports own-force submarine operations and acts as a deterrent in its own right. Detection, tracking and classification are automatic, using Doppler, target size, dynamics and imagery in active mode, and DEMON, narrowband analysis and audio in passive - with AI-based functions that cut operator workload and enable continuous operation.

A combined multi-layered solution
Four capability classes working together support a multi-layered, multi-threat solution. Portable and fixed diver detection sonars cover close and short-range threats; medium-range counter-UUV sensing extends the perimeter; and long-range active/passive sonar builds awareness against submarines and large or extra-large UUVs.

Free the fleet
Persistent long-range coverage reduces the ASW tasking placed on ships and aircraft, releases those assets for other missions and supports own-force submarine operations in the same water.
Automatic by design
Detection, tracking and classification run automatically on AI-based algorithms, cutting operator workload to the point where continuous, round-the-clock coverage is sustainable with the watch you actually have.
No weather gap
The system is engineered for all environmental conditions, including sea states with waves up to 15 metres, so surveillance continues exactly when surface and air ASW assets are least able to operate.
