Sentiq’s Diver Detection Sonar (SQ DDS) is a medium-frequency active sonar incorporating advanced algorithms, including AI, machine learning and image processing, to provide tactical underwater protection through automatic detection, tracking and classification of underwater targets.
Offering an exceptionally long detection range and extended response time against even the fastest-moving underwater threats, SQ DDS protects naval bases, energy terminals, SPMs (Single Point Moorings), commercial ports, offshore platforms and other high-value maritime assets.
A combined multi-layered solution
Four capability classes working together support a multi-layered, multi-threat solution. Portable and fixed diver detection sonars cover close and short-range threats; medium-range counter-UUV sensing extends the perimeter; and long-range active/passive sonar builds awareness against submarines and large or extra-large UUVs.
Alert to decision
Extended detection range converts an alert into usable response time, even against fast-moving underwater threats - enough to assess, cue a response and act before the contact reaches the asset.
Automatic classification
Medium-frequency active sonar with AI, machine-earning and image processing detects, tracks and classifies underwater targets automatically, presenting operators with a tactical picture rather than raw acoustic returns.
Configure the coverage you need
Receive arrays are configured for 120, 240 or 360 degrees. A quay wall needs a sector; an open approach needs the full circle - you only install what the site requires.
